Raw Vulkan | Intro to Graphics Programming w/ Vulkan

Vulkan is a new low level Graphics API released February 2016 by the Khronos Group that maps directly to the design of modern GPUs. OpenGL was designed in 1992 when GPUs were far more simple, but since then they have become programmable computational units of their own with a focus on processing large sets of data quicker than CPUs.

Join the OpenHID Research Lab at FIU’s Engineering and Computer Science Building in the Modesto Campus as we discuss the latest in Graphics Programming!

This talk will introduce the Vulkan API and how to program in it, perfect for Realtime rendering, GPGPU tasks like machine learning/neural networks, and architecture.
